The library provides a range of research support services and tools to assist faculty members, researchers, and students in conducting high-quality academic research. These services are designed to improve research integrity, enhance academic writing, and support the publication process.

Plagiarism Detection Tools
The library provides access to plagiarism-detection tools to help researchers ensure the originality of their work and maintain academic integrity. Tools such as iThenticate and DrillBit Plagiarism Checker are available to check research papers, theses, dissertations, and project reports against extensive scholarly databases. These tools generate similarity reports that help authors identify and correct potential overlaps before submission or publication. Academic Writing Support Tools
To improve the quality, clarity, and correctness of academic writing, the library recommends using writing assistance tools such as Grammarly. These tools help researchers with grammar correction, style suggestions, clarity improvement, and plagiarism awareness, enabling them to produce well-structured and professional academic documents.-
Access to PhD Theses
The library maintains a separate section for PhD theses of the University of Kerala. This collection allows users to refer to previously submitted doctoral research works for academic reference, literature review, and research guidance. -
Kerala Reference Section & Digital Repository of Rare and Old Documents
The library also houses a Kerala Reference Section, a specialised collection of books and materials on various aspects of Kerala, including its history, culture, language, literature, religion, politics, economics, and sociology. This collection supports researchers and scholars focusing on Kerala Studies. In addition, the library preserves a valuable repository of rare and old documents, including over 10 lakh full-text, searchable digital pages of rare and old books, providing access to important historical and scholarly resources for research. -

Kerala Index is an index of articles pertaining to Kerala published in leading newspapers, popular magazines, and journals received at the Kerala University Library. -
